The Role

We believe that small, collaborative, and cross-functional teams are best equipped to ship the most optimal project outcomes. Within these teams, our Designers apply brand sensibility to create experiences built on strong design language through the use of type, color, space, and motion.

As an Intermediate Designer, you’ll work under the guidance of a design lead, supporting concepting and ideation, establishing design principles, and producing design artifacts across the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and engineers, applying your experience in visual design, user experience, interaction, and brand, to ensure the work we ship is of the highest degree of craft.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a digital studio environment with experience supporting web and mobile design engagements. Your ability to produce work of the highest quality will be demonstrated through a portfolio that communicates your experience and your own personal design sensibility.

What You'll Do

1. Support the design of web and mobile experiences blending UX and UI sensibility
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in concepting and ideation
3. Lead production of design deliverables under the guidance of the design lead
4. Ensure all deliverables and outputs are of the highest level of quality and precision
5. Participate in workshops, presentations, and reviews
6. Seek opportunities to expand your skills and capabilities within the agency

What You'll Bring

1. 3+ years experience designing and prototyping for web and mobile
2. A strong portfolio demonstrating skill, craft, thinking, and experience
3. Experience with UI patterns, design systems, grids, typography, and brand principles
4. Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe CS
5. Natural ability to communicate and present
6. Familiarity with service design, design thinking, ideation workshops, and concept sprints
7. Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and SEO best practices
8. Personal perspective on design’s ability to shape business, brands, and relationships
9. Working knowledge of front-end code, frameworks, and constraints

This is a remote position in Canada with a preference for candidates in Toronto. International applicants will not be considered at this time.
