Elevation Drafting and Design is a growing design and drafting company focused on delivering practical, code-compliant, and well-coordinated architectural plans for residential and light commercial projects. We value efficiency, clarity, and a hands-on approach to construction.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Designer/Draftsperson to assist in preparing drawings for design development, building permit submissions, and construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential design and drafting, with strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and site planning principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare architectural design drawings for permit and construction using Revit and AutoCAD
2. Develop construction details and code-compliant building sections
3. Conduct zoning and site plan reviews based on municipal requirements
4. Perform site measurements and attend site visits as needed
5. Prepare and organize permit submission packages for various municipalities
6. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from clients, contractors, and municipalities
7. Review and mark up PDFs using tools like Bluebeam or other PDF viewers
8. Maintain organized project files and track submission statuses
9. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and city officials as required

Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required); experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam (or similar PDF markup tools)
2. Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code, zoning by-laws, and construction methods
3. Experience in residential or light commercial design
4. Strong organizational and communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
6. BCIN qualification is an asset but not required
