Job Title: Release Engineer - Automotive ECUsThe candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and release of Advanced Driver Assist (ADAS) components, including long/short range radar, cameras (human/machine vision), ultrasonic sensors, and associated processing ECUs.
Responsibilities
- Manage programs and suppliers.
- Track open issues and proactively resolve them.
- Ensure delivery to all vehicle program milestones and manage all aspects of release activities from specifications to sourcing documents, engineering change management, requirements clarification, and cross-functional team alignment.
- Generate program development timelines and lead component packaging.
- Develop and validate component/system hardware/software validation plans.
- Develop ECU diagnostics and conduct hardware/software design reviews.
- Author, review, and approve FMEAs & DVPRs, conduct PFMEA reviews, and establish process standards.
- Support in-plant calibrations, launch support, and safe-launch plan development.
- Identify quality improvements and provide rapid response to warranty issues.
- Implement technical cost reductions.
- Identify risks and maintain detailed risk assessments, mitigation, and management plans with frequent updates to leadership.
- Work closely with ADAS Functional Integration engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex ADAS systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Automotive Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of design and release experience with automotive ECUs
- Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
- Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment with minimal direction
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPR, DV, PV, validation
Work Environment
This position is preferred to be located in Windsor with the requirement to travel to the US up to once weekly. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. The company is investing heavily into the Advanced Research & Development Center (ARDC) in Windsor, creating over 200 engineering jobs and promising the production of at least one new model at the Windsor Assembly Plant (WAP) by 2025.
