Dermatologist - Red Deer

Alberta Health Services, Central Zone, and the Department of Dermatology at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, invites applications for a Dermatologist to establish a full-time practice in the community of Red Deer. This position requires a scope of practice that includes: Community Clinic, Inpatient & Outpatient Services, and Specialist On-Call Coverage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reside in and have their primary residence within the community of Red Deer;
• Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services;
• Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies;
• Establish and maintain a full-time community-based practice within the community;
• Provide call assistance as per call schedules, including full-time participation in the Dermatology call schedule, as required;
• Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Zone Clinical Department of Internal Medicine;
• Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs;
• Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities, as assigned;
• Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (required with application);
• Have or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC);
• Have specialty certification or equivalent in Dermatology;
• Recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required, as the Most Responsible Physician.
