Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Derivatives Analyst. Reporting into the EVP, Head of Product and Operations, this dynamic role provides an opportunity to analyze and optimize our derivatives portfolio, with a particular focus on developing and maintaining complex leverage and inverse leverage models using forwards, swaps, options and futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on ETF industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics, with a strong emphasis on the derivatives markets.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial and investment analyses, offering insights into complex issues and implementable solutions.
  • Collaborate with investment management, fund operations, compliance, and trading teams to maintain daily derivatives operations and ad hoc requests.
  • Coordinate with external counterparties to facilitate the execution and settlement of derivatives transactions.
  • Manage collateral and margin reconciliations for SWAPs, forwards, futures, and options.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance to ensure strategic alignment with investment objectives and fund prospectus guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial services (including internships or co-op programs), with a strong understanding of derivatives and financial markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven analytical skills, with hands-on experience utilizing Python and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in coding and database management, including Python, VBA, SQL, and Azure.
  • Competence in derivative pricing models and index methodologies, particularly passive index derivatives.
  • Ability to create high-quality, professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Progress toward, or completion of, CFA Level 1.
