Established dental practice in West Toronto (at Bloor St and Jane St, 5 minutes walk from Jane station) with 4 chairs looking for a dental receptionist who is committed and friendly to work with an amazing, tight-knit team helping our kind and loyal patients. We are looking for someone passionate about the dental industry and skilled in their reception duties.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, skilled receptionist - someone with the confidence to apply their core reception skills to any field and has the desire to learn the "dental language" should you have no dental experience. An exposure to dentistry with a minimum of 1 year of experience in dental reception, and is a graduate of a dental reception/administration program is preferred. Also considered will be experienced receptionists with strong customer service skills from any field - preference for private medical office receptionists/administrators (physio, optometry, chiropractic, etc) (ie. has experience with billing and dealing with private insurance).
You will be the lead office receptionist/administrator for a 1 dentist, 1 assistant, 2.5 hygienist, 1 receptionist/administrator office. Please note: we are currently hiring for a newly created floater (admin/sterilization tech) position to help support the lead receptionist with admin duties and covering all the hours.

Main responsibilities will be patient intake and care coordination, answering the phone, booking and confirming appointments, recalls, follow-up on dental predeterminations, billing and dealing with dental insurance, referrals, keeping track of invoices and paying office bills, helping keep track of office statistics.

- Monday 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM/ 7:00 PM
- Tuesday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
- Wednesday 7:30 AM- 5:00 PM
- Thursday 8:00 AM- 5:00
- Friday 7:30 AM- 1:00 PM
(Average 33h-37h/week)
HOWEVER
As the office grows, your specific shift start/end times and days may need to change (short or long-term) to include more evenings.
Please note: once the floater position (we are currently hiring for) is filled, hours for this position will be modified:
#1. While they are in training, you will close *every day* your day will start 9.0 hours before expected finish time.
#2. Once they are fully trained, your final hours will be:
- Monday 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM (1.0h lunch) (7.0h) (clinic is open 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM/ 7:00 PM, you will open the day)
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (1.0h lunch) (7.0h) (clinic is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will close the day)
- Wednesday: 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM (1.0h lunch) (7.0h) (clinic is open 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, you will open the day)
- Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (1.0h lunch) (7.0h) (clinic is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will close the day)
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM (5.0h) (clinic is open 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, you will close the day)

- We are best accessed by public transit (Jane station)
- There are no staff office parking spots
- General building parking is not available

Work Remotely
**Starting SALARY:
- Commensurate with level of dental-specific reception experience
- No dental and no medical reception experience: $19.00- $20.00/h
- No dental but have medical reception experience: $20.00- $22.00/h
