Position Summary
We are seeing a dedicated Dental Clinic Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations of our dental clinic and ensure efficient, high-quality care. As a key member of the management team, the Dental Manager will be responsible for managing staff, patient interactions, clinic compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead recruitment, orientation, and training of dental staff and volunteers.
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to dental staff.
Manage patient interactions and ensure compliance with CDSBC regulations.
Oversee scheduling for staff, coordinate time off requests, and approve payroll.
Monitor and manage clinic operations, including equipment and supplies, and ensure adherence to budget and operational targets.
Supervise dental staff, facilitates effective communication between staff and patients.
Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Financial Coordinator to ensure the clinic's sustainability and participate in management team meetings.
Represent REACH Dental Clinic in the community and advocate for social reform in oral health.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years experience in a large dental office or equivalent setting.
At least three years management experience, covering both reception and clinical settings in a dental clinic.
Strong understanding of the determinants of health and their impact on patients and the community.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Experience working with dental software programs and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience or Certification as a CDA is an asset.
Knowledge of dental reception and experience coordinating clinical activities in a large dental clinic is an asset.
Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
