Dental Hygienist Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for full-time or part-time Dental Hygienists to travel to Timmins, Ontario. Travel by air and hotel accommodations are included. We have opportunities from 1 week per month in duration to full-time positions. If you are a trained dental hygienist, we want you to apply and discuss the opportunity.

Our dental office is a very active facility with 16 operatories, one of Ontario's largest dental centres, and a state-of-the-art environment. It is a great place to work.

We are seeking several skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienists to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
  • Take and develop dental x-rays.
  • Conduct oral cancer screenings.
  • Administer local anesthesia as needed.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Ontario.
  • Experience working in a dental office setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in using dental software (Open Dental) for charting and scheduling appointments.
  • Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $50 - $60+ per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
