Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Uniforms are provided, as well as a free cleaning. We have private parking and are close to Place Saint-Henri Metro station.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Assist in the identification of oral diseases and abnormalities, documenting findings accurately.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
• Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide support in pediatric dentistry and orthodontic procedures when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Experience

• A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly with knowledge of medical terminology and dental assisting practices.
