Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
2. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
3. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
4. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
5. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
6. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the office.
7. Support pediatric patients and their families with a friendly demeanor, ensuring their comfort during visits.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; new grads will be considered.
2. Experience in pediatrics is a plus.
3. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
4. Level II Certification in dental assisting is required.
