Responsibilities

1. Prepare patients for dental examinations
2. Order dental and office supplies
3. Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory
4. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
5. Maintain and order supplies
6. Perform reception and clerical duties
7. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
8. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
9. Finish metal framework of dentures
10. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
11. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
12. Schedule and confirm appointments
13. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
14. Perform intra-oral duties
15. Take and develop X-rays
16. Record dental procedures performed on patients
17. Invoice patients for dental services
18. Polish and buff dentures
19. Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
