Deliver food for a local business - Evenings

Get a head start on saving up for Christmas. Shifts can start between 3 pm and 5:30 pm and end between 7:30 pm and 10 pm depending on the driver's preference and what is available. Experience is an asset but not required. A good fit for those seeking a second income, for the semi-retired, and students.

There are some opportunities available for casual/occasional-availability drivers, although availability of shifts will vary from month to month.

Possibility for a long-term relationship (One of our drivers is at 18 years with us and others at 2 years). If you're interested in a new "home" for a long-term, part-time position, we'd be especially interested.

Courteous dispatchers and clients.

Since customers can tip at the door, drivers can influence their tips with their customer service, unlike with some of the delivery apps that require tip-ahead. In general, there's a more social interaction at each of the pick-up and drop-off compared to the apps.

Note that some shifts will have down-time between deliveries. Depending on where you live, you can wait at home during down time, bring a book, study, or entertain yourself in your car. Earnings are in delivery fees and tips. A more detailed breakdown of earning expectations can be provided. It can vary by time of the month and even certain parts of the day are busier than others.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver food, groceries, beer, liquor, and convenience store items.
2. Accept payment on some deliveries by debit machine or cash. Make change for customers.
3. Follow pick-up and drop-off sequences designated by the dispatcher.
4. Communicate effectively and courteously with the dispatcher, clients, and customers.

Requirements:

1. Phone with data plan.
2. Your own vehicle.
3. Neat appearance and manners.
4. Excellent driving record.
5. Comfortable driving in the rain, dark, and occasionally, messy winter roads.

Preferences:

1. G license.
2. A solid work history.
3. Employment reference from a current or recent job.
4. Live in town.

Additional info:

We do all record-keeping for the driver (no driver-log responsibility).

Note that it is not possible to do delivery app deliveries while on a shift with us.

Princess Delivery has been delivering food since 2004 while not taking any commission on the restaurants' food sales unlike the delivery apps. More than 700,000 food deliveries completed.
