Job Title: Database Software Developer
Location: Montreal, QC
Job Type: Contract on W2
Work Status: US Citizen / Canadian Citizen / TN VISA

Skills Required

  1. Expertise in DB2 (Release 9.5 or later) and/or Sybase 15.x including general administration, development, programming, and performance tuning experience.
  2. Experience with DB2 and/or Sybase replication to heterogeneous RDBMS platforms (Sybase, DB2 including DB2/zOS).
  3. Advanced DB2/Sybase skills with index design, MQT, MDC, and Partitioning.
  4. Experience with DB2/Sybase data load/migration.
  5. Scripting knowledge (UNIX, Perl).
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Other personal skills: Integrity & ownership, good team player, ability to work under time and resource dependencies and constraints, ability to find simple and effective solutions, high degree of motivation to expand technical and business knowledge.

Skills Desired

  1. Knowledge of Infrastructure, Load balancer, HA/DR technologies.
  2. Data modeling concepts.
  3. Version control, preferably with Perforce.
  4. Knowledge of ETL products such as Informatica.
