ADGA is currently hiring a Database Integrator for one of our largest Defence programs and provide Business Intelligence Reporting support to the directorate’s program reporting dashboards!

Tasks will include:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and analyze projects’ data and requirements.
  • Design and maintain data models, ensure their accuracy and consistency for directorate’s program reporting.
  • Design, develop dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI to track projects’ data, projects’ status, milestones, interdependencies, etc.
  • Optimize data models and queries for optimal performance.
  • Provide support and enhance to the reports and their data.
  • Provide user training on navigating and using the reports.
  • Produce documentation, brief notes, reports, and presentations with regards to reporting work.
  • Advise, make recommendations, and contribute to the organization's reporting strategies and initiatives.
  • Produce project documents, brief notes, reports, and presentations.
  • Coach, mentor, and train the organization to perform any of the above; and
  • Perform any other work related to this category.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid PSPC Secret level clearance and a Controlled Goods Certificate.
  • Our team must work on-site on a full-time basis in Gatineau office.
  • Proof of a university degree or college diploma or a suitable application database work experience required to support the Land C4ISR.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in the last 48 months in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of IT/IM or engineering (System, Data Analysis, Database, Data mapping) experience.
  • Minimum 24 months of experience within the last 48 months performing at least 4 of the following tasks:
    • Data mapping for application systems.
    • Extract Transform Load process for data migration.
    • System integration, hardware, and software, (COTS and/or custom developed) components into new or existing systems.
    • Database architecture and system interfaces.
    • System life-cycle management.
    • Experience in business process improvement and knowledge of business intelligence tool sets.
    • Data analysis and problem-solving expertise.
    • Database design.
  • Minimum 24 months experience in at least 3 of the following tasks:
    • Communicating database mapping and/or data conversion process.
    • Ability to clearly communicate in writing and orally.
    • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT systems.
    • Communicate information mapping, and conversion procedures for application interaction and integrations.
    • Communicate information flow and application interaction and integration.
