Database Administrator - Senior

Position: Database Administrator

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 80 Days + 250 Days Extension

Technical Skills and Experience:

1. 10+ years experience Oracle Database Administrator including Oracle RDBMS, Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Oracle Vault, Oracle Security/Encryption, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) on RedHat Linux Enterprise.
2. 2+ years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate.
3. Experience with installing and testing new versions i.e., upgrading from Oracle 12c version of 19c.
4. Working knowledge of features such as Oracle Multitenant option, Oracle Active Data Guard Far Sync, in-memory database, RMAN backup/recovery, fail-over, data masking, security, and new data types.
5. Experience with install, patch, and maintenance of all Oracle software.
6. Experience with performance tuning all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL for application databases.
7. Hands-on Experience in Azure Cloud including VM, Storage, Network, Security, Key Vault, Backup/Recovery, Scripting/Automation and maintaining data standards while adhering to the Data Protection Act.

Problem-Solving Skills:

1. 5+ years experience with troubleshooting, problem solving, performance tuning, infrastructure, application, and data related issues.
2. Experience with Oracle database version upgrade and migration issues.
3. Proficient in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing solutions.

Project Management Skills:

1. 2+ years experience with project planning and execution.

Must Have Requirements:
