Our client is looking for a highly motivated Database Administrator (Oracle and PostgreSQL) to support and develop database solutions in our national portfolio - 19269

• 3 months contract, possible for extension, Remote (PST or EST office hours)
• Will be an after-hours requirement

Must-Have:

• Expert knowledge on Oracle 12.x for Windows and PostgreSQL v14 and above
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Technical proficiency in monitoring, tuning and optimizing database performance

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in at least one programming or scripting language
• Health Industry experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and performance of production, staging and development databases
• Provide trend analysis to management team to enable informed decisions regarding capacity management
• Lead project initiatives to improve database functionality and design
• Migrate products from one database platform to another (ie Oracle to PostgreSQL)
• Collaborate with other teams (Development, Architecture, QA) to develop database systems for new products and advise on product updates
