As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing our databases to ensure seamless performance, data integrity, and availability.
What you’ll do
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Implement and manage database security, including user roles and permissions.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and provide technical support.
- Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for database management.

What you’ve got
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus two or more years of related experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture and management.
- Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL programming.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with SQL Server tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, Profiler, etc.).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with the Snowflake cloud database platform would be an asset.
