The Data Strategist will support our Digital Marketing partners by prioritizing/managing projects through the project life cycle and delivering valuable analytical outputs (e.g. dashboards, case studies, models, etc.) to business partners. This role is a mix of technical understanding/skills and business acumen. It requires knowledge and experience in digital marketing as all projects need to be managed in the context of the larger digital marketing landscape.

In this role you will:

1. Work with business partners, understand their business problems, create analytics solutions, present information back to them.
2. Manage projects through the full project lifecycle, including:
1. Scope out projects by creating requirements, timelines, project scope, etc.
2. Create analytical outputs (new data sets, dashboards, actionable insights, deep dive analytics) that will help support business growth and development.
3. Create artifacts, such as project plans, documentation, data lineage, metadata, metrics definitions etc.
4. Present analytical outputs, communicate findings, provide recommendations for actionable insights, etc. to business partners and key stakeholders.
5. Act as a SME with our Digital Marketing partners and other key stakeholders that proactively looks for solutions to business problems.
6. Collaborate with other Data, Technology, and Analytics partners.
7. Promote Data Literacy with partners and key stakeholders to raise the collective understanding of data, tools, etc. available to them.
8. Champion data-driven decision-making.
9. Proactively suggest project ideas, data process improvements, or value opportunities.
10. Investigate and become an expert in available data sources, transform and determine how they can be interpreted for analysis. Identify any gaps and develop a plan of action to address.
11. Develop and produce reusable data assets using business acumen, statistical, and visualization techniques.
12. Conduct analysis using descriptive or advanced techniques on massive volumes of structured and unstructured data to create actionable insights.
13. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical partners to establish trends, understand performance, identify opportunities for growth, and provide actionable insights.
14. Develop and produce analyses, reports, and insights for partners that help drive tactical, operational, and/or strategic decision making in support of Digital Marketing goals.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

1. University Education in Business, Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
2. Project Management skills/experience.
3. Communication Skills (oral and written).
4. End to End Analytics Experience: explore, clean, aggregate, and consolidate data; create analytical outputs; synthesize information in easy-to-understand formats; communicate/present findings to business partners.
5. Experience querying and working with large data sets, ideally within an Enterprise Data Lake, Enterprise Data Warehouse, or Cloud environment.
6. Ability to manage the planning, processes, and coordination of multiple projects.
7. Data Visualization Experience: for example, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Domo, etc.
8. Programming Language: at least one of SQL, Python, R, SAS.
9. Experience in Digital Marketing and/or Digital Marketing Analytics.
10. Experience in Banking/Financial Services preferred.
11. Model Creation preferred.
