As a Data Scientist, you will:
Define business problems and solution requirements within the context of supply chain management.
Design and develop machine learning algorithms to address specific business objectives in demand sensing and inventory optimization.
Present research findings and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure the consistency, completeness, accuracy, and efficiency of all algorithmic solutions.
Design, document, prototype, and validate algorithms, focusing on machine learning implementations where applicable.
Collaborate with software engineers to facilitate the implementation and testing of algorithms.
Prepare educational materials to convey solution approaches, benefits, and usability to various audiences.
What You'll Bring:
Expertise in machine learning, including experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, and extreme gradient boosting.
Ability to interact effectively with software engineers and the product management team.
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in software or algorithm design engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
Fluency in English, basic French.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory planning, and demand forecasting.
Familiarity with deterministic and stochastic modeling, operations research methodologies, and simulation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred), C++, or Java.
Proven ability to design algorithmic solutions to complex planning and operational support problems.
Excellent writing and communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
