Job Description: Our client in Ottawa is looking for a Data Quality Analyst (Data Mapping, Governance).

Must Have Primary Skills:

1. Conduct data testing, profiling and assessment based on customized Data Quality rules.
2. Measure and report on data quality assessment results and ongoing data quality improvement through the use of DQ scorecards and/or dashboards.
3. Work with the R3 team to identify the root cause of data (and migration) issues.
4. Identify and prioritize issues and work with the R3 team to resolve them.
5. Review business requirements with Business Analysts and Business Systems Analysts.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills:

1. Agile principles and the Scrum Framework.

Proven Experience In:

1. Minimum 3 years in a data analysis role involving reporting/analytics projects, data warehouse and/or data platforms.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance.
3. Ability to elicit data requirements and data quality rules from business use cases.
4. Ability to simplify technology/data communications for business consumption.
5. Identify opportunities to cleanse data prior to data migrations.
6. Develop status reports for stakeholders, and liaise with business and technical leads on data analysis and reporting.
7. Support data verification and functional testing of migrated data.
8. Review data mappings for completeness and accuracy and work with the R3 team to maintain data mappings (and other metadata).
9. Work with the R3 team to build and run data transformation routines to transform and move data from its current state into the vendor staging database.
