What will your day look like?
As the Data Insights Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts and consultants, helping to drive business decisions through actionable data insights. You will oversee the development and application of data models, reporting solutions, and analytics to optimize digital marketing strategies for our clients. Your role will involve a combination of team leadership, project management, and technical execution, while ensuring the team’s success in delivering impactful insights.
It is essential for this role to actively engage in face-to-face interactions to build camaraderie, trust, and a strong community. Share knowledge, collaborate, and spark innovation through in-person teamwork at our Toronto office.
More specifically your tasks will include:
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, Consultants, Data Engineers and Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative environment and helping to elevate their technical and business acumen.
- Drive the team’s intimacy with clients’ first-party data yielding an in-depth understanding of customers and prospects while collaborating with internal and client stakeholders to formulate strategies that enable business outcomes.
- Set performance targets for your team, provide regular feedback, and guide their professional development.
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality data-driven insights, reports, and dashboards that meet client needs and business objectives.
- Manage team utilization, project schedules, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently across multiple client projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team productivity, communication, and technical expertise.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning, ensuring your team stays up to date with the latest data technologies and trends.
Individual Contributor Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement data models, reporting solutions, and analytical dashboards to support marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements, providing recommendations and solutions based on data insights.
- Leverage your technical expertise to support the development of automated reporting systems and provide ad-hoc data analyses for business decision-making.
- Work hands-on with SQL, databases, ETL processes, and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau to deliver actionable insights.
- Support the team in creating and presenting data-driven recommendations to clients, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Account Managers, Architects, Developers, and Marketing Experts, to deliver integrated, data-driven marketing solutions.

In addition, you have:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior data consultant or business liaison role, with expertise in data, business intelligence, and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, databases, ETL processes, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience in designing and developing reporting dashboards, and providing insights that support digital marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with data models and business intelligence solutions, and a background in creating data solutions for marketing teams.
- Experience with Google Insights/Google Analytics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in leading a team, managing workloads, and driving productivity through strategic leadership.
