The Data Entry Specialist is expected to work under general supervision and enter alphanumeric data from a variety of sources, including paper-based, electronic, and phone into Access’ computer database.

Note: This is a contractual position for a period of 6 months.

Primary Functions

  • Perform the preparation, indexing, and scanning of all hard copy records according to specific client requests.
  • Check data from completed forms and client documents for accuracy and completeness and enter into the online database.
  • Complete all assigned data entry requests/tasks within required timeframes while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Ensure that all assigned documents are reviewed and that protocols are adhered to during data entry.
  • Meet job-specific standards and production rates for data entry requirements.
  • Provide direction or assistance to users of information regarding data requirements and status of paperwork.
  • Sort and file paperwork as needed.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required by the Supervisor.

Education and Years of Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of business experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized.
  • Knowledge of data entry and scanning software programs is a plus.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and understand the importance of detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workflow and procedures.
  • The physical ability to lift boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
