About the Role:

As a Data Engineer, you will be a contributing member of a team of geo-diverse project managers, software developers, database developers, and product owners that work to deliver high quality products that meet stated success criteria. This will include but is not limited to:

1. Maintaining database systems;
2. Creating code, objects and scripts to support database development;
3. Understanding our data intake systems and how the data is transformed into our numerous product offerings.

You will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats in a collaborative agile development environment and enhance your skills as a data engineer, with a strong focus on data validation and accuracy.

Your Expertise:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
2. 0-2+ years of database developer experience (SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL preferred).
3. Ability to create and understand data models.
4. Ability to create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions.
5. Ability to write advanced SQL code; queries and statements to explore source data and data issues.
6. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
7. Familiarity with execution plan analysis and performance tuning.
8. Must speak and write in English fluently; Effective communicator.
