Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data models and data architectures.
Lead and deliver logical data modeling and business modeling strategies, standards, policies, tools, and procedures.
Work on complex data migrations with many data sources.
Create and maintain data models, databases, and data integration systems to ensure data is structured, accessible, and secure.
Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements, define data standards and governance policies, and develop strategies for data storage, retrieval, and integration.
Be responsible for data security, privacy, and compliance.
Provide guidance and strategic advice on data-focused initiatives.
Develop proof of concept solutions that demonstrate the technical feasibility.
Analyze the most cost-effective Data/ BI tools fit for purpose.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Data Architect (DA) on big data, data engineering, data warehouse, and reporting projects.
Experience with data warehouse principles, DW/BI lifecycle methodology, and modern data warehousing using cloud technologies.
Strong knowledge of data modeling and data structure.
Demonstrated knowledge of data migration, data quality & cleansing, and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) concepts, principles, and tuning strategies.
Solid experience using AWS Redshift and BI technologies (Power BI, Tableau, or Data Bricks).
Proficiency in other relational database systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Experience in working with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Snowflake.
Skills at facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including senior management.
Experience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements and information from key business areas.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Highly collaborative with excellent communication, facilitation, teamwork, and conflict-resolution skills.
