SPS is working to redefine policing with innovative new approaches and community-based solutions. It’s an exciting time as SPS continues to expand our team with talented people who want to help shape the future of policing in Surrey. We have already hired over 400 employees and will grow to be one of the largest independent police services in Canada. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining web content filter rulesets, conducting vulnerability scanning, and responding to real or suspected cyber security incidents.
With strong written and verbal communication skills, our candidate will have a proven ability to document and communicate cyber security processes, risk-mitigation plans, and training for a variety of users and stakeholders. This role requires research capabilities related to maintaining cyber security awareness and identifying risks in an evolving technological environment.
