The Opportunity
At Wolf Midstream, we are dedicated to safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the security of our systems and data. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to support our cybersecurity efforts and protect our organization from threats. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for implementing and operationalizing the company’s cybersecurity strategies and policies. This role requires an experienced professional with strong technical skills, risk management skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Review enterprise IT goals and objectives to ensure security program alignment
- Implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards following industry best practices through governance, risk and compliance.
- Monitor the organization's cybersecurity posture, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
- Execute security operations, including threat detection, incident response, and risk management
- Track and report on the execution of the documented Cybersecurity Plan initiatives, including IT and OT capital projects, Work Programs and operational activities
- Partner with senior management on organizational cybersecurity efforts and progress
- Operate and enhance security tools and technologies, such as network defense systems, cloud protection systems, identity defense systems, endpoint detection and response, secure service edge solutions
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and partner with the business to address findings in response to internal and external results by introducing technical and procedural controls
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards
- Manage and operate cybersecurity awareness following industry best practices by delivering the cybersecurity training program for employees and promoting cybersecurity awareness across Wolf
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
- Ensure that cybersecurity acquisitions and outsourcing efforts address cybersecurity requirements
- Identify and address gaps in security architecture by recommending and executing appropriate changes in existing and new security solutions
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CCNP Sec, CCSP, CEH, GSEC, AZ500.
- CISSP or equivalent with additional relevant cybersecurity certifications an asset
Experience:
- 5+ years directly related practical experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cybersecurity operations
- Strong technical background with expertise in cloud cybersecurity, threat management, secdevops and security operations
- Demonstrated ability to mature cyber capabilities using a measured technical approach
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in energy
Skills:
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex technical issues to diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work of others
- Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building at all levels in the organization
- Strong time management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Deep technical experience and understanding of the cybersecurity operations environment and its technologies
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and programs such as NIST and CSA
- Experience with governance risk and compliance in a mature cybersecurity program.
