Job Description

Join our experienced Global Customer Support Team in Vancouver, Canada! Are you passionate about customer support and technical troubleshooting? ChartWorld is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Global Customer Support Team, providing world-class support to our clients in the merchant shipping industry worldwide. This position is based in Vancouver, working 40 hours per week, including weekends (Thursday/Friday: 8 hours each, Saturday/Sunday: 12 hours each).

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Deliver exceptional customer support to our global clients.
2. Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively.
3. Register and manage cases within prescribed KPIs using the CRM tool Salesforce.
4. Support customers with chart loading issues.
5. Assist existing customers with chart sales and quotations.
6. Manage software registration and activation.
7. Update and manage the FAQ/Knowledge base and monitor PAYS position reporting.
8. Collaborate with other departments, including sales, technical support, and product development, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
9. Actively participate in 24/7 support shifts via phone and email.
10. Be an independent learner and a great team player.

Job Qualifications:

1. Ideally hold a degree or equivalent diploma in Marine IT, electronics, or similar fields.
2. Interest in shipping and navigation.
3. Desire to learn on the job and participate in training.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Empathetic demeanor and ability to handle confidential data.
7. Excellent communication skills via phone and email.
8. Good IT knowledge and preferably experience with a CRM system.
9. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is a must.
10. Experience in marine industry and/or customer-facing experience is an advantage.
11. Nautical Watch-keeping Certificate / Customer Service Experience / Technical Service is an advantage.

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Salary Range: $40,100.00-$53,400.00
