The Regional Services Branch within the Ministry of Agriculture has a dynamic opportunity for a highly-motivated leaderwith excellent communication skills to join their Crops Extension Specialist team.
As a Crops Extension Specialist, you will work with farmers, producer groups and industry to offer agronomic information and advice on proven crop production practices by:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced agrologist who has in-depth knowledge of crops, soils, pest management and other topics relevant to crop production in Saskatchewan, and who is:
Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through a degree in agriculture with a major in agronomy, soil or plant science combined with extensive experience in crop production. A Professional Agrologist designation or eligibility to obtain designation with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is required, as defined by The Agrologists Act.
A valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
