What You Will Do

Reporting to the Head, Special Constable Service, this position is responsible for identifying trends and anomalies in criminal occurrences and coordinating the statistical function of the Special Constable Service department. This position is also responsible for providing analysis in the form of reports, charts, graphs, and maps related to criminal offences, provincial offences, bylaw data, and statistics pertaining to community safety and well-being. The incumbent will assist the Special Constables Service department in meeting their needs for administrative, preventative, and strategic management of departmental operations. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervision of a Quality Assurance Analyst, the creation, maintenance, and data integrity of all databases, as well as providing guidance to those utilizing the databases and related information management systems and assisting the Special Constable Section Business Analyst in developing justification for system changes and implementation.

The successful candidate will also be required to do the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform trends and statistical analysis for the Special Constable Department
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of departmental reports
  • Coordinate the maintenance and integrity of all databases
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate personnel
  • Other duties as determined

What Qualifications Do You Bring

  • Your educational background including completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent is integral and will contribute to success in this role.
  • Possess sound judgement, well-developed organizational, supervisory, administrative, and interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities in a positive manner, and must be able to ensure that all operating and administrative problems are resolved with minimal interruption to the work of the section.
  • Sound judgement supported by well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
