The Cost accounting analyst supports the finance team in managing and analyzing Agropur Canada's accounting activities. They contribute to the preparation and consolidation of financial results while optimizing analytical tools. Their expertise ensures data accuracy, identifies variances, and supports strategic decision-making.

Salary range 004: $71,200 - $89,000 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position).
What's involved in this role:
Actively participate in the period-end process by preparing, reviewing, and consolidating financial analysis documents (monthly, quarterly, and annual results).
Coordinate variance analysis and ensure data accuracy by business sector.
Analyze and explain variances related to inflation and exchange rates.
Identify the causes of financial fluctuations and provide recommendations.
Develop and automate financial reports using multiple databases.
Contribute to the harmonization and continuous improvement of analytical processes.
Support FP&A specialists in explaining results and responding to ad hoc requests.
Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist the team in producing and analyzing KPIs during month-end closing.
What you need to join our team:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance.
CPA designation or equivalent (an asset).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in the manufacturing sector (an asset).
Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written.
Excellent proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, automation).
Strong knowledge of financial databases and office software.
Rigor, autonomy, and strong analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
