Cost Accountant

About the Opportunity

• Inventory Control and costing for Trailer inventory for Ontario & Quebec branches
• Ensuring that all related costs have been posted to the correct trailer unit number
• Recording reefer units and any other major parts switches
• Reconciling interdivisional repairs posted to trailer unit number
• Analyzing gross profit margin on units
• Month end accrual listing for costs required for unit inventory
• Reconciling unit inventory listing to General Ledger
• Downloading of unit inventory data for report management
• Analyzing Sales Productivity by Category Report
• Parts Inventory Control for Ontario & Quebec branches
• Monthly reconciliation of parts inventory, preparing journal entries for adjustments and accruals and balancing to the General Ledger
• USA FET (Federal Excise Tire Tax) coordinating the reporting for imported tire refunds
• Customs: coordinating USMCA certificates for both trailers and parts and related databases through our Customs Brokers. Coordinating B2 duty refunds.
• Administration: Commercial Insurance, PAP (Pre-Authorized Payments) for customers
• General Ledger administration and US $ conversions. Consumption taxes reporting and intercompany transactions for Quebec branch

About You

• Degree or Diploma in accounting or finance with 3 - 5 years' experience in full cycle accounting and costing experience
• Advanced excel skills, on macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP and queries for analysis and reporting requirements

Salary Range

$70,000/year
