Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled professional communicator to help tell the Bank's corporate citizenship and social impact story and support bringing our purpose as an organization to life. The successful candidate will plan, develop, and deliver engaging content for Social Impact and Corporate Citizenship, helping to execute a comprehensive communications strategy that includes digital communications, media relations, thought leadership and social media. We are looking for someone who is adept at building strong relationships and who can connect the dots to drive alignment with the Bank's broader sustainability strategy and uncover creative ways to tell a bigger and bolder story. The successful candidate will:
  1. Work closely with senior leaders and key business partners to develop comprehensive public and media relations strategies, plans and materials that support Social Impact & Corporate Citizenship, and the Bank's broader sustainability strategy.
  2. Identify and use the most appropriate storytelling tools to produce and deliver compelling content to employee and external audiences, leveraging traditional, online and social channels to drive engagement across a number of channels.
  3. Build relationships with media, influencers, spokespeople and other stakeholders to identify proactive opportunities and manage media requests.
  4. Have strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to reach the hearts and minds of your audience through compelling storytelling.

Job Requirements:
  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in not-for-profit, corporate or agency communications environment.
  2. Experience developing and executing innovative communications plans to effectively drive business objectives.
  3. Strong relationship management skills, with experience managing agency relationships and providing communications counsel and issues management to business partners and senior executives.
  4. Proven track record in both proactive and reactive media relations. Experience working with key journalists who cover philanthropy, not-for-profit and social impact issues is an asset.
  5. Digital fluency and demonstrated experience using social media for corporate clients.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines; self-starter highly motivated to deliver results.
  7. Ability to understand complex subject matter and distill it into communications that are simple.
  8. Undergraduate degree or PR/marketing/corporate communications certification, designations, or equivalent required.
