Job DescriptionThe Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position SummaryAre you passionate about advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in research? Do you want to promote the scientific careers of women and Indigenous people? Join the Integral Mentorship for Inclusive Science (IMIS) project. As the IMIS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive scientific community by organizing inclusive leadership and equitable research training, mentoring activities, career development workshops, facilitating partnerships and monitoring project impact to ensure project’s objectives are met.
You will work closely with partners (Montréal InVivo, IHCT, CBHSSJB) to coordinate impactful events, monitor program success, and shape the next generation of inclusive researchers. General DutiesEducation: Bachelor's Degree related to the project. Work experience in EDI and with Indigenous communities can be validated as education. Ideally, applicants will possess a master's degree (Master degree desired but not required).
Experience in project coordination and in interinstitutional environments. Experience in designing and implementing educational or career development activities. Experience in work with Indigenous students will be considered as an asset. Experience in work with women and other equity-seeking groups will be considered as an asset.
