Position Summary


As the Coordinator in the Community and Social Justice Division, you will play a critical role in shaping high-quality, relevant, and impactful programs. With a focus on curriculum development and review, you will collaborate with faculty, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to ensure instructional integrity and pedagogical effectiveness. By conducting feasibility studies, analyzing data, and incorporating emerging trends in conflict resolution, leadership, counselling, and community safety, you will help keep our programs at the forefront of adult education. Your ability to coordinate course updates, facilitate governance processes, and develop engaging learning materials will be essential in maintaining the excellence and relevance of our curriculum.

Beyond curriculum coordination, you will also lead program reviews, ensuring that courses align with JIBC’s educational standards and industry best practices. This includes gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and implementing recommendations to enhance learning outcomes. In addition, you will conduct Division-wide systemic initiatives and reviews regarding administrative processes relating to teaching and learning. Your work will directly contribute to the Division’s mission of delivering exceptional education that empowers individuals and strengthens communities.

Qualifications & Requirements


  1. Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as education, curriculum and instruction, leadership, or conflict resolution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum of three years’ experience in adult or higher education, focusing on curriculum development, program review, and instructional design for applied learning environments.
  3. Expertise in curriculum development, adult education, and project management; experience in conflict resolution, leadership, or counselling is an asset.
  4. Strong ability to apply course and program development principles, manage multiple projects with shifting priorities, and analyze data to support educational best practices.
  5. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a team environment, and effectively navigate conflict resolution.
  6. Proven project management skills, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities to address complex issues.
  7. Excellent oral communication, presentation, writing, and editing skills.
  8. Business acumen and financial literacy to support curriculum development initiatives.
  9. Strong time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  10. Commitment to integrating equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous perspectives into curriculum development.
  11. Experience managing educational projects in a post-secondary setting, including faculty initiatives and curriculum or program reviews is preferred.

Fair Comparison/Faculty Equivalent: We offer a total compensation package that includes a benefit plan, which includes Extended Health and Dental Benefits after three months, and enrollment in the College Pension Plan upon hire. In addition, we offer 20 vacation days and 10 Personal Days annually (pro-rated in first year), as well as generous other leave entitlements.

Salary Range


$89,271.00 to $99,135.40 annually – Fair Comparison Faculty Equivalent Compensation Salary Grid P3
