Location: Glenview Elementary School (7310 Cluff Rd, Prince George, BC V2K 2M3)
Term: Temporary, Part-time
Hours: 27 hours per week
Shift: Mondays – Fridays, 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm with remaining hours flexible
Start Date: May 12th, 2025
End Date: June 1st, 2026 (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Nature & Scope
The YMCA Beyond the Bell Program is an after-school program for children grades 1-5 that provides tutoring, skills development, physical activity, and social engagement. The Coordinator will both lead the program and staff team and work directly with children on the program when it is running. The Coordinator will follow the Beyond the Bell structure and curriculum, utilizing a 1 to 5 leader to child ratio, and instilling the Y’s core values of caring, respect, responsibility, honesty, and inclusivity. Children will be actively engaged in improving social, numeric and literacy skills while participating in sports, outdoor play, arts and crafts.
Reporting to the Manager of Community Programs, the Coordinator of Beyond the Bell involves supervising and supporting a small team, scheduling staff, organizing activities, and being the primary contact for parents and Glenview Elementary School. Responsibilities include procuring program materials within budget, planning for children in grades 1-5, adhering to behavior management guidelines, building relationships, assisting with educational programming, and ensuring a safe workplace.
