Reporting to the Executive Chef Manager, the Cook will be responsible for the daily food preparation and cooking of menu items for the Cafeteria, Catering and Patient Services. An enthusiastic and energetic individual who enjoys creating quality meals while providing friendly customer service would be best suited for this role.
Shift: 6 -2 , 7 -3, 8 -4, 9- 5 and some evening work.
Although this posting indicates an initial area of assignment and shift, the Hospital reserves the right to assign to other areas of assignment and shifts as deemed necessary.

Here's What You'll Need
- A professional certificate through an accredited culinary college with the required completed apprenticeship hours and successful completion Red Seal Certificate or working towards completion of a Red Seal Certificate and current Food Handler Certification.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude coupled with a strong work ethic.
- Good knowledge of food production and food safety (WHMIS, HACCP).
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in stressful situations.
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion.
- Knowledge of Special Diets and Allergies is a definite asset.
