Controls Operations Specialist - Trade Clearing

Kavaliro's consulting client is seeking a Controls Operations Specialist to support risk and control processes across the full trade clearing lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring operational integrity, mitigating risk, and maintaining compliance within the trade clearing process.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee risk and control functions across the end-to-end trade clearing process.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks to enhance the overall clearing framework.
• Monitor and review trade clearing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Perform regular risk assessments and implement control measures to address identified gaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, clearing, and compliance, to enhance operational controls.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or breaks across trade clearing processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for control processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on risk and control performance to management and stakeholders.

• Experience: Proven experience in risk management, control functions, or trade clearing operations.
• Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with trade clearing platforms and back-office systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.

• Prior experience working in financial services, particularly in trade clearing or risk management roles.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices for trade clearing operations.
