Position Description: The Controller plays a critical role as a member of the Nine PBS finance team. The Controller supports the VP/CFO with managing the organization’s day-to-day finance functions, as well as the monthly closing process. The Controller must be a dynamic leader that partners with the CFO and the rest of the finance team to support the mission and strategic vision of the organization. This individual possesses a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making, and the ability to apply these skills toward strategic business objectives. This individual must also be a strong leader who can effectively support a team of 3 staff.
Primary Responsibilities: The following primary responsibilities are vital to successfully meeting the expectations of this position in an effective and efficient manner. This is not an exhaustive list and areas of focus may fluctuate between the primary and secondary responsibilities, as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities: These are additional activities that are expected to be performed with this position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, with active CPA license and 5+ years of experience in nonprofit accounting or finance. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications.
Hybrid Schedule: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, typically working up to three days virtually each week. Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends. Ability for some travel.
