Operate and Monitor Equipment: Oversee the operation of pumps, compressors, and other production equipment. Ensure all machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. Report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Data Collection: Record and analyze production data. Use this information to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Environmental Stewardship: Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations. Participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including equipment failures and environmental incidents. Participate in emergency response drills.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other field operators, engineers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively and provide support as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Alberta 4th Class Power Engineering ticket, 3rd Class preferred.
Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: Valid safety certifications (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS) are required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment. Must be able to work on a rotating shift schedule.
Work Schedule: - 8/6 Rotation. - 84hrs/week. Rotating day/night shift. 6-hour days on day 1 and 8, 12 hour days day 2-7. - Tues-Tues.
