Hourly: $52.41 to $114.65 per hour
Per Three Credit Course: $7,947.
Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.

  • As an instructor in the Political Science Department, you will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College Political Science courses.
  • You will also be responsible for planning, organizing and managing learning activities and resources, providing academic advice to learners and maintaining quality learner‐centered instruction.
  • The successful candidate will be able to teach Introduction to World Politics (POLI 1103) course during the Summer 2025 term.
  • The successful candidate(s) must possess a doctoral degree in political science from an accredited post-secondary institution or be near completion of a doctoral degree; have an academic background in World Politics/International Relations and must have teaching experience at the post-secondary level and must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to students and excellent ability to teach diverse student groups.

The successful candidate(s) must be able to teach face-to-face classes at the Douglas College Campus in New Westminster.
