Overview
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for managing complex contractual arrangements? We are seeking a Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) to oversee the day-to-day conformance responsibilities for all executed contractual arrangements of assigned capital and maintenance projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that communication flows smoothly between our company and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of documentation and communication related to contractual relationships.
- Facilitate the timely identification, communication, and resolution of contractual matters.
- Interact with third parties and in-house departments, including legal, project management, and construction management.
- Report directly to the Area Construction Manager and indirectly to the Contract Conformance Regional Lead (CCRL).
- Demonstrate understanding and compliance with Project Execution contracting strategy.
- Facilitate preparation of contract exhibits, including scope, specifications, pricing, and special instructions.
- Assist in writing technical contract language and coordinate with contract management specialists.
- Support project management in contractor contract negotiations.
- Coordinate project team communication plans and participate in contract conformance training.
- Review contractor documents for compliance and manage change order processes.
- Prepare and transmit company correspondence and manage contractor correspondence logs.
- Establish and implement project contract document control and retention systems.
- Review contractor invoices for compliance and coordinate contract close-out processes.
- Provide assistance during compliance audits and communicate ongoing project requirements with the CCRL.

- Familiarity with best management practices for contracting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to crisis prevention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in legal, engineering, construction, and/or contract administration, preferably in the gas pipeline industry; OR
- Associate's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Specific knowledge and experience in contracting processes related to energy industry construction projects.
