Salary Range: $24.107 - $30.214 Hourly

Grade: SGEU.06

The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual for the challenging position of Contract Administrative Assistant within the Custody, Supervision and Rehabilitation Services (CSRS) division at Central Office.

CSRS is seeking a candidate who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As the successful candidate, you will provide contract administrative and financial support to the Business Strategy and Risk Management unit. You will be responsible for maintaining the Ministry’s contract-related database, completing financial and procurement-related duties, and responding to inquiries from both internal and field staff. Reporting to the Manager of Contracts, the key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Maintain the Ministry contract database, templates, reporting, and document archive
  2. Coordinate and lead contract compliance requirements and reporting
  3. Complete, track, and reconcile transfer payments made to service providers, and prepare reporting
  4. Administer cash mail records
  5. Facilitate service provider payments
  6. Administer the Ministry's purchase order process and payment of head office expenses
  7. Prepare information to assist Management reporting on financial activities
  8. Maintain the Ministry’s payment authorization chart
  9. Track and maintain the Ministry’s CVA pool
  10. Provide other administrative support as required
  11. Have a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s license

The candidate of choice will be a team player working with changing demands and priorities, responsible, cooperative, flexible, versatile, and adaptable in order to positively meet new challenges. You will have knowledge related to contracts, accounting, office administrative policies and procedures, budget, general ledger systems, and computer applications such as Excel and Word.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required for this job is obtained through a formal education program such as an office education program and/or a combination of education and experience.
