About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and creative Marketing Specialist to join our team at Median.co. In this role, you will take ownership of all marketing activities, including content creation, SEO, email marketing, social media strategy, and more. If you’re passionate about content marketing and have a proven track record of elevating online visibility through strategic campaigns, we want to hear from you!
Education requirements:
Undergraduate degree in business or a related field such as Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce.
Experience:
- 4-5 years of experience in content marketing, preferably within B2B / Enterprise SaaS or mobile app development industries.
- Must have expertise with SEO tools like Ahref’s, SurferSEO, Screaming Frog, Moz, and Neil Patel SEO tools.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Ad Manager.
- Expertise in email marketing, newsletter campaigns, and marketing automation using HubSpot.
- Strong experience writing SEO-optimized blogs, social media copy, and email content.
- Must be able to design visual assets using tools such as Figma and Canva.
- Proven track record of managing a content calendar and delivering ten or more SEO optimized blogs monthly, along with supporting content optimized for social media platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in project management tools such as Asana and Google Workspace.
- Excellent research and analytical skills for driving data-driven decisions in content marketing.
- The ideal candidate has experience writing content on topics such as mobile app development, website development, and other keywords related to Median.co such as native apps, webview apps, app interfaces, etc.
- Must demonstrate a proven track record of obtaining top 5 positions in Google search results.
- Must demonstrate ability to improve website health including domain rating, backlink profile, and SEO issues.
Hybrid/remote position:
Work must be completed at the St. John’s physical location: 302-34 Harvey Road
St. John’s, NL A1C 2G1 — 3 days per week while 2 days per week are remote optional.
Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing, and maintaining engaging blog articles aligned with SEO best practices and the company’s content strategy.
- Conducting keyword research to identify topics with high traffic potential and incorporating them into content planning.
- Optimizing on-page elements, including meta tags, headings, and internal links, to improve search engine rankings.
- Developing and executing off-page SEO strategies, such as building high-quality backlinks and monitoring referral traffic.
- Monitoring and analyzing website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborating with web developers to address technical SEO issues, such as improving site speed, resolving crawl errors, and ensuring mobile optimization.
- Staying updated on SEO and digital marketing trends, including algorithm updates, to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting on the performance of SEO efforts and blog articles, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Overseeing cross-team collaboration using tools like Asana.
- Managing the monthly LinkedIn newsletter and keeping up with industry trends on LinkedIn to expand reach and awareness.
- Creating and executing email marketing campaigns, including newsletters and strategies.
- Writing engaging copy for social media, blogs, and email marketing, tailored to the mobile app and web development industry.
- Leading case study development and collecting customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies.
- Planning and managing a content calendar for blog articles, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Creating visual assets using design tools (Figma, Canva).
