Meet your team

We are looking for a Content Designer to join our team! In this role, you will be fully embedded in a UX and Product team. Our ideal candidate will work from our Montreal office 3 days per week to collaborate with our team.

Your direct team spans Newport Beach, California, Montreal, Canada, and Shanghai, China. Your day-to-day will include collaboration with other content designers/user assistance developers, UX designers, product managers, software engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to create emerging strategic cloud products within the Consumer Industries. You’ll be part of a team where you will help build and document next-level SAP products for the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

This is not a UX design role, but primarily a writing role.

What you will do

Content designers on our team take on a wide variety of tasks within a dynamic work environment. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are a must to succeed.

1. Collaborate with UX designers to define, test, and iterate on UI copy across topics and areas in the user experience.
2. Write documentation for cloud-native software products tailored to the CPG industry, including IT administration guides, end-user guides, API documentation, translation review, and UX/UI copy.
3. Assist and/or facilitate user research sessions to test and validate that our design and copy choices resonate with our users.
4. Collaborate with product managers and software developers to strategize, prioritize, and deliver documentation relevant to user and customer needs.
5. Develop and maintain internal content design documentation and resources to enable consistency, efficiency, and collaboration.
6. Continually learn and advocate for content design best practices that ensure consistency and scalability.
7. Independently and proactively identify opportunities to improve user experience via content design.

Communication Skills

1. Ability to articulate rationale of decision making in a clear and logical manner.
2. Ability to collaborate and communicate with customers and internal teams.
3. Demonstrate humility and a low ego through willingness to learn, grow, and work with feedback.

What you bring

1. 3+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, technical writing, or equivalent expertise.
2. Examples of your writing to demonstrate rationale for decisions and adherence to best practices.
3. Thorough knowledge of English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage.
4. Experience writing in adherence with style guides.
5. Ability to plan work to meet deadlines across teams.
6. Excited to collaborate to provide customers clear, accurate, accessible information.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
8. Proficient in DITA CCMS, Microsoft Office, and Figma, or able to quickly learn complex authoring software.

SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture. The targeted combined range for this position is 80000 - 136000 (CAD). The actual amount to be offered will depend on various factors.
