Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fundraising and Campaign Consultant to join our team. Under the direction of the President / CEO or designate, this individual will work closely with non-profit clients to design, implement, and manage strategic fundraising initiatives, with an emphasis on capital campaigns, major gift programs, and donor engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in non-profit fundraising and campaign management, as well as a passion for helping mission-driven organizations succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management : Oversee all stages of campaign planning, including fundraising audits, feasibility studies, case statement development, prospect identification, cultivation strategies, solicitation plans, and stewardship programs.
  • Strategic Fundraising Leadership : Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, planned giving, and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Client Collaboration : Work closely with clients to understand their mission, values, and needs to develop tailored fundraising strategies and campaigns. Provide regular progress reports and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Training & Development : Mentor and train associate fundraising consultants and client staff in best practices for donor engagement, solicitation techniques, campaign management, and communications.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze donor data and campaign performance metrics to guide strategy adjustments and ensure informed decision-making. Prepare detailed reports on campaign progress, goals, and outcomes.
  • Market Research & Trends : Stay informed of industry trends, emerging fundraising tools, and donor preferences to continually refine approaches and incorporate best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 7+ years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of successful completion of capital campaigns including comprehensive campaign management.
  • Expertise : Proven success in securing high-level donations and leading multi-million-dollar campaigns. Extensive knowledge of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) designation is an asset.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a strong capacity to inspire and motivate stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess campaign performance, and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Adaptability : Ability to manage multiple clients, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt strategies to fit client needs and market conditions.
  • Technology Proficiency : Proficient in CRM systems, donor databases, and fundraising software (e.g., Sumac, Raiser’s Edge). Comfortable using MS Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Passion for Non-profit Work : A deep understanding and passion for the non-profit sector and a commitment to supporting organizations in making a lasting impact.
