What you'll be doing
The Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Group is responsible for all aspects of CIBC's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) regime, including development of policies and procedures, development and delivery of training, and reviewing the activities of CIBC's business and infrastructure groups, and investigative activities, including the receipt and analysis of information that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions violation, or other high-risk activity. As a Consultant, Business Intelligence and Insights, you will interact with business leaders to determine the right solutions to meet their needs and to take ownership for the design, development and delivery of reports, dashboards, and analytical deep dives. Leveraging best-in-class Business Intelligence and analytical software, you’ll ensure the reporting is accurate, timely and will strive to apply leading edge visualization techniques.

How you'll succeed
Build & maintain strong business relationships – You develop strong relationships with the LOB leaders & employees through regular meetings, presentations, and acting as a liaison on Business Intelligence Reporting.
Deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis - Design, develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and analyses in line with stakeholder requirements. Ensure data reported is accurate, timely and presented in a visually appropriate means to ensure audience comprehension.
Make data meaningful – Using best-in-class visualization software, apply leading edge visualization techniques to accelerate information uptake and to maximize comprehension across a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Use python + SQL to transform and analyze data and determine impactful insights.
Support the leaders in strategic decision making – Assist and lead various business partners in formulating the business needs to help them achieve their strategic and operational goals. You can provide insight and assistance to the EAML senior management on initiatives and operations to inform strategic and operational decisions making.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), working with relational databases (SQL), writing Python scripts.
You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, or Computer/Software Engineering or have equivalent years of practical work experience in a related field. Accreditations such as Lean Six Sigma and ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) are asset.
