Job description

Work Term: Permanent

Work Language: English

Hours: 30 hours per week

Education: College/CEGEP

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Construction, Inspection, Residential, Service, Various locations

Tasks

  1. Prepare production and other reports
  2. Supervise workers and projects
  3. Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  4. Train or arrange for training
  5. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  6. Recommend personnel actions
  7. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  8. Schedule work assignments
  9. Monitor safety conditions
  10. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
  11. Examine plans, drawings and site layouts
  12. Complete detailed inspection documentation
  13. Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
  14. Maintain clean and safe work environment
  15. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  16. Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met

Supervision

Tilesetters, Painters and decorators, Floor covering installers, Lathers, Drywall installers and finishers, Shinglers, Waterworks maintenance workers, Gas maintenance workers, Eavestrough installers, Electrical appliances installers, Kitchen cupboard and vanity installers, Muffler installers, Septic systems installers, Window installers, Apprentices, Labourers (16-20 people)
