Site Supervisor
Lighthouse Custom Homes is seeking an experienced construction site supervisor (+6 years experience) to join our team based in Calgary, AB.
The majority of our work is based in Calgary and surrounding areas. Each project is customized to create our client’s dream home, which typically fall in the range between $1-5m. Throughout the building process, you will act as the “Lighthouse” in bringing our clients’ dream home to reality. You would be an ideal candidate for this role if you are eager to learn, work well in a fast-paced environment and are highly organized.
As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the successful completion of a custom home build, from permit release to occupancy. You will need to plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the construction process in a timely and professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills are an essential asset. Specifically, this will involve coordinating with all site teams to set realistic timelines for work and creating schedules in BuilderTrend. You also use past experience to predict delays and proactively find ways to manage impact and keep the project running smoothly. Key Attributes:
- Ability to communicate and inspire site teams in person and via email
- Excel in high pressure situations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to confidently make key decisions
- Extensive experience with home building, although experience building custom homes is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, leading with honesty and integrity
- Professionally deal with conflict and find resolutions
Project Management Duties:
- Assisting in planning of project and managing resources to ensure the accuracy of the project plan i.e. resource allocation, work scope, key project meetings, resource leveling, and organization structure
- Determine critical path and manage accordingly
- Maintain schedule on BuilderTrend software daily
- Ensuring all construction activities follow the issued construction plans and any subsequent change orders
- Oversee any customer complaints and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner
- Produce weekly updates along with a report including at least one photo for the client
On-Site Duties:
- Meet trade partners on site prior to starting new scopes of work to ensure all information is current and they are set up for success
- Perform daily site inspections and record daily logs on BuilderTrend with at least one photo and description of activities and site conditions
- Ensuring job sites are kept clean and organized

Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in residential construction preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
