Job description

Drake International is searching for a dedicated Health & Safety Manager for a leading Construction Management company in Kelowna, with projects throughout British Columbia. The H&S Manager plays an integral role in project safety and is responsible for the Health and Safety Management System of large-scale multi-team projects. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, promotes a culture of safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement in H&S performance.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Provide all levels of the company with advice related to health and safety matters, legislative requirements, and best practices in the field.
  2. Promote and support a strong safety culture across the organization.
  3. Provide leadership on health and safety strategy and prepare reports for senior management.

What We’re Looking for:

  1. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Health & Safety related field or equivalent.
  2. CRSP Designation is preferred.
  3. 7+ years of health & safety experience in construction, ideally industrial or civil projects.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including crisis management, conflict resolution, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Ability to work in a team environment, where collaboration is the key to success.
