About Us:

Wolverine Fuels is a leading coal producer operating three underground coal mines in Central Utah. We are committed to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible mining operations. As we expand our operations, we are developing surface facilities for a new mine and are seeking a skilled Project/Construction Manager to oversee this critical initiative.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project/Construction Manager to lead and manage the construction of surface facilities for our new mine. This project includes a three-story, multi-purpose building (shop, warehouse, bathhouse, office) and coal handling facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and experience in industrial or mining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  2. Coordinate with engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the project meets design specifications and deadlines.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  4. Manage contracts, procurement, and relationships with vendors and contractors.
  5. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and implement quality control measures.
  6. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  7. Lead efforts to minimize risks and ensure the project stays within scope and budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project or construction management, preferably in industrial or mining environments.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
